Spada Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Firmus
Amarone Classico “FIRMUS”, from the Latin meaning “strong – determined – robust.”
Carefully selected grapes, picked in the early weeks of the harvest, are left to dry for approximately three months. Skilled hands then craft these precious grapes into a wine that is both traditional and strikingly modern.
Production area: Valpolicella is a renowned wine-producing region located in the Veneto area of northeastern Italy, near the city of Verona. It is famous for its elegant red wines, which are typically made from a blend of indigenous grape varieties, primarily Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara
Grape variety: Corvina Veronese 45%, Corvinone 30%, Rondinella 20%, Molinara 5%
Alcohol content: 16%
Aging: A minimum of 36 months in small French oak barrels, then refined further in large casks
Tasting notes: Intense ruby red in color. The bouquet is powerful and refined, with aromas of ripe cherry and plum. On the palate, it is complex and velvety, full-bodied and rich, displaying the characteristic notes of dried grapes
Serving temperature: Best served at 18°C to fully reveal its aromas and complexity
Food pairing: perfect with hearty red meats, flavorful game, and well-aged cheeses
